I was born and raised in Seguin, Texas. After serving in the U. S Navy, I returned to SWTSU in San Marcos, Texas, to complete my B.A. During my career as an insurance agent, I traveled frequently, mostly to Cozumel, Mexico where I wrote my first movie, ROBO. I began to write because I’m very unhappy with all the R rated, blood and gore, violent movies being produced. Violence is NOT entertainment to me.
I want to laugh. I want to have fun and enjoy everyday to its fullest.
I have always loved movies from Charlie Chan and Sherlock Holmes to Betty Davis and Bogart to Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. My favorite TV series is I Love Lucy. The comedy writers for I Love Lucy were so talented. Rodney Dangerfield is my favorite stand up comic with Jerry Seinfeld as second favorite. I wrote a few comedy movies such as ROBO, then Chicks, Mapache and then GONE, all comedies. I also created The Escapades of ROBO, Chicks Dos, and the prequel to Chicks. All comedies and all rated G. I wrote, directed, and produced The Chip Scifi Drama and The Chip Munk Scifi Comedy which are R rated due to the topics. I tried to make The Chip funny but was not able. These are my test movies that are streaming on YouTube.com.
Besides writing comedies, I love to snorkel, watch men’s tennis, NFL football and NBA basketball. I created the word ROMACOM, which means romantic comedy. ROM COM sounded too much like a scientific term. I also created the Crack Up scenes. I place these scenes with the end credits. To be honest, I think the Crack Up scenes are funnier than the movie.
I’m currently in pre-production for my next movie, Mapache, a romacom, that will be filmed on locations in Port Aransas, TX and San Antonio. I produce Funny, Fun Films. I hope you enjoy them half as much as I did writing them.
Please Laugh!
